Giveaway, Modern Fabric, Quilt Market

Is your Garden doing the Tango?

Here in New York, we are feeling the first stirrings of Spring.  The days have gotten longer, the snow is melting and the first bits of green are starting to appear.  There is nothing like Spring in the Northeast to make you feel ALIVE again.

Which means, it's the perfect time to begin a new project, right? If you haven't gotten your hands on the most Spring-like new fabric collection on the market, Garden Party Tango by Melissa Ybarra of Iza Pearl Design, then this is the post for you!

For her Fall Quilt Market booth, Melissa created an entire Garden ecosystem complete with fountains and tea sets.  She is a creative whirlwind and her booth just swarmed with busy quilt bees trying to get their hands on her fabric. Windham Fabric is please to offer a really unique and beautiful FREE quilt pattern designed by Melissa Ybarra and written by Mary Honas.  You can download it from our website here. This pattern requires some attention to detail to draft pattern pieces, but once that step is over, it's easy-peasy—-and the result is WELL worth the work!

  1. Here in Missouri, despite the continued appearance of winter at random times, it is Spring and the tulips and iris are making there appearance. I am so ready to see some colors in my yard.

  2. I live with my husband’s parents so I get to help them in the garden! I grew up in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, it is very packed there, with about 10 million people! But anywho, in Jakarta I didn’t get to grow up with a front yard or a backyard, so that was very fun to help them and learn about perennials and annuals! They have lavenders in their backyard and I just can’t wait till it blooms!

  4. Yes, we are definitely ready for Spring up here in the mountains of Utah. We’ve been going back and forth between warm days and cold, rainy days.
