Domestic Strata Rucksack in Tiger Lily by Heather Ross

Kristen of Two Blondes and a Sewing Machine has made this beautiful rucksack by Domestic Strata.

Here she is guest posting for us today!

Happy Friday y’all! Tiger Lily is officially on the shelves at your favorite fabric stores and wow it’s going FAST!!! Heather Ross hit it out of the park with this new line. The playfulness and bright colors are so much fun to work with.

I received some yardage of Tiger Lily after Spring Market and knew exactly what I wanted to make. Backpacks are the new “it” thing it seems like and at market I was introduced to a cool new paper/leather like product and I wanted to incorporate its natural color and texture with the colors and theme of Tiger Lily. The backpack is a perfect mix of whimsical, practical, and modern. Here it is!

Kelly Ventura’s “Flora” in patterns by Sew Liberated

We have been working hard on moving our blog, so welcome to our new home!  We are looking forward to having you visit us!

We had a wonderful time at Spring International Quilt Market 2015, where we debuted Kelly Ventura’s collection “Flora”.

In the coming days, we will be featuring some projects made with this delightful collection that is in both cotton and cotton lawn.

Today, we wanted to share with you what our friends and Pattern Partners at Sew Liberated created with this line.

As you can see, this modern watercolor floral collection easily lends itself for beautiful dresses and aprons! The Clara dress, shown in the main print in grey floral cotton lawn and The Emmeline apron (that is also reversible), featuring the main print in white and coordinated with the multicolored dots in pumpkin and the solid teal.

This line is just a breath of fresh air!
