Melanie Testa, one of Windham’s newest designers, set up an incredibly efficient little print studio in her booth and was printing for all of Market!  Her infectious laughter and boundless energy kept us all going and we loved watching Quilt Market attendees strap on aprons and join Melly in her process.  Even Lotta Jansdotter stopped by to print for a bit! Check out Melly’s collection Meadowlark here!

Melanie is a teacher, art quilter and author.  The designs that she commissioned from friends in the industry were inspriring and unique.  Keep your eyes peeled in a variety of quilting magazines in the next few months for more on these projects and head over to Melly’s blog to learn more anytime!

Designer, Sarah Fielke, an Australian wonder came to our booth at Quilt Market after being on the road all over the United States teaching for weeks. Sarah’s brand of applique is stunningly bright and cheery.  Her classes can be found on Craftsy for those who want access to this girl-from-Down-Under here in the States.

The collection includes bold, playful novelties inspired by a painter’s tools. Color wheels, paint swatches, paint brushes and other collaged images create an artful pastiche of sewing possibility. Carrie loves to make something from nothing. She showcases up-cycling and recycling by creating her imagery from brown paper bags, paint swatches and colorful newsprint. PAINT tells the truly inspiring story of stepping into a creative life.

Additionally, we are pleased to rerelease her wildly popular Newsprint in three color ways.
